High School Achievements
- Sang in the chorus and swing choir, played piano, participated in the high school musical, and was the recipient of the visual art award for graduating seniors
- Played four years of football, basketball, and track and field

- Bachelor’s degree in studio art, and Masters degree in teaching, Beloit College in 1996
Professional Achievements
- 27 years in art education, teaching in Illinois, Florida, and Colorado
- College Board consultant for AP Art & Design, an AP Reader and Table Leader, has curated the AP National Exhibition, presented on 3D Art and Design at the AP Reading in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and currently serves on the AP Annual Conference Steering Committee
- Active in the art education community, presenting workshops through the Florida Art Education Association, the Colorado Art Education Association, The National Art Education Association, and Savannah College of Art and Design
- 2016 Florida Secondary Art Educator of the year, 2021 Colorado Secondary Art Educator of the year, and currently serves as visual arts director at Denver School of the Arts
