For generations, the arts at Evansville High School have been shaped by people worth remembering: students who went on to stages, studios, and classrooms far from Wisconsin, teachers who built the programs they started in, and the accompanists, volunteers, and supporters who kept those programs going. The Fine Arts Hall of Fame exists to make sure their names stay attached to this school.
Why we do this
A hall of fame is a way of saying that what happens in a band room, an art room, or on a stage matters, and keeps mattering long after graduation. By honoring the people behind Evansville’s fine arts tradition, we preserve its history, show current students what is possible, and give the community a reason to keep supporting the arts.
Who we honor
Inductees come from three walks of life: alumni who took part in the arts as students and went on to distinction in music, theater, or the visual arts; educators whose teaching and mentorship built the programs students remember; and contributors whose service made those programs possible. Since the first class in 2019, every honoree has been chosen for their accomplishments, leadership, character, and lasting impact on the arts at EHS.
How it works
Nominations come from the community, and anyone can make one. A committee of six to ten community members reviews them, votes, and selects each class. Learn who is eligible and how to nominate.
Where you’ll find us
Each inductee’s photograph and story join the permanent display in the Evansville High School auditorium lobby, and every class is celebrated at an induction ceremony. The Hall of Fame is owned and maintained by the Evansville Community School District.
